What is an all-time high?

An all-time high is the highest historical Bitcoin price recorded in a particular currency by a particular data source. Because markets and exchange rates differ, another source may show a slightly different figure or timestamp.

How the distance is calculated

When today’s reference price is below the recorded high, the page divides the difference by the historical-high price and displays it as a percentage. The comparison updates with the current price.

Why this is context, not a signal

The previous high is simply one point in the historical record. Being near or far from it says nothing certain about a later price, so the site presents the comparison without directional prompts.
